Emily Stein

Emily has been a nurse for 10 years, receiving her Master's in Public Health in 2011. She entered the road safety field after her father was tragically killed by a distracted driver in 2011. Since then, she has worked to increase public awareness of distracted driving and general safe driving practices. She became President of Safe Roads Alliance in 2016. She will continue to focus on accomplishing the organization's mission of "saving lives through promoting better driving".

Colleen Kelley Carr

Colleen Kelley Carr is a passionate Safe Driver Advocate. After losing her son, Brendan, to a car crash in 2003, she started her work speaking and advocating for better education and awareness programs and initiatives for all drivers.

Nicole Wakelin

Nicole Wakelin covers all things automotive as a freelancer for numerous outlets including The Boston Globe, Boston.com, Autobytel, Gatehouse Media, and AAA. Her stories often cover the latest safety features in an effort to help people understand how these new technologies works. As the mom of two teenage girls who are just now getting behind the wheel, encouraging safe driving habits is a priority. She is a member of the New England Motor Press Association and Texas Motor Press Association and servers as a juror for the Women’s World Car of the Year. 

Sue Mead

Sue’s professional accomplishments, which span three decades and cross six continents, are numerous and noteworthy. They include joining the first female team of test-drivers and writers at Four Wheeler magazine, authoring several industry-related enthusiast books, and, through diligent and persistent efforts, attaining a reputation as an expert in the industry. Sue was also the first American female Driver of Record in the grueling Dakar Rally, South America. In 2007 she was recognized for her contributions to the industry and inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame. Sue has given free driving training to teens and others in her community for many years. She believes that driving safety is everything.

Rebecca Lindland

Rebecca is the creator of rebeccadrives.com, a new vehicle review website dedicated to putting the right car into the right hands in 200 words or less. Incorporating her twenty years of experience in the industry, Rebecca provides readers with a concise feel for each vehicle she encounters, highlighting safety and technology features so critical in today's market.

Prior to launching rebeccadrives.com, Rebecca served as the executive analyst for Kelley Blue Book, overseeing the development and delivery of actionable insights for clients.

Rebecca is a frequent conference speaker, often interviewed by top media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, National Public Radio, CNN, CNBC, and Fox Business News on a host of topics from autonomous driving to safety regulations to fuel economy.
